Scott R.Anagoste

Scott R. Anagnoste, MD, an eye physician, specialist in Diseases and Surgery of the Retina and Vitreous, also has a Bachelor’s degree of Science and Engineering from Princeton University where he graduated Magna cum laude. He earned his medical degree at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School where he was recipient of the prestigious UMDNJ Academic Excellence Award that provided full tuition scholarship throughout medical school.

He finished his internship at the St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston New Jersey and performed his ophthalmology residency at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital where he served as Chief Resident. Dr Anagnoste completed his vitreo-retinal fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute where he served as Director of Emergency Services and the Ocular Trauma.

Dr. Anagnoste is actively involved in clinical research including areas such as the management of severe ocular trauma, endophthalmitis, and computerized processing techniques for digital imaging for age-related macular degeneration.

His research has been published in several peer-reviewed scientific publications, including the American Journal of Ophthalmology, and presented at multiple national and international meetings. He has contributed chapters to several textbooks on retinal surgery and diseases and diseases as well as the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Basic and Clinical Science Course.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Miami Opthalmological Society and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
